The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 16th May 2023
Morning all,
As the official announcement of Mauricio Pochettino becoming our next manager nears, there is a lot being said and reported on the former PSG and Spurs boss this week on what to expect, and what the plans are at Chelsea.
First and foremost, Ben Jacobs had the very latest on all of that and much more in his latest exclusive column for us here. Latest on Mason Mount and midfield transfer news in this one too.
Meanwhile, I have penned Pochettino’s to-do list here for when he arrives through the doors at Chelsea this summer, and he has a lot of hard work to do. The club and Poch must be intertwined with this and put the work in ahead of what we all hope to be a much improved season for us next season.
Pochettino’s training methods are going to scare the heck out of some of our current players and to be honest, I think this is a good thing. Not only does it sound like he will put on intense training sessions, he will also challenge the players minds as well as physically. Poch has that dog in him, and here I explain why it’s needed and a good thing.
There has been some noise regarding the future of midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka this summer, a player who has been let down by the club and managers this season. Will he actually be sold? Find out here from our sources.
Finally, round up all the rest of the news and noise from the last 24 hours in the Chelsea news blog here.
I’ll be firing up today’s blog around 8am today, ‘see’ you all there!
Peace, Si.
