The Chelsea FC Newsletter: 1st August 2023!
Morning all!
I’m back in the house and back on the site! We had a very wet and windy festival experience in the great British summertime, so I am pleased to be back at home!
I arrive back just in time for the real business end of the transfer window as we begin August today! Around four weeks to get our transfer business done, and even though we have done a superb job so far in terms of outgoings and even some arrivals, we still have quite a bit of work left to do and are expecting it to be a busy month now.
I have chatted with sources when I came back home and have been able to do a general sourced transfer news update here. This covers Moises Caicedo, Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Mohammed Kudus, Michael Olise, Rayan Cherki, Kylian Mbappe, Robert Sanchez, Marc Guehi, Trevoh Chalobah, and Callum Hudson-Odoi!
Luke has been absolutely incredible whilst I was away and he not only did the basics by running blogs for us, he even put out some superb articles and made sure even more content was going out in my absence. It looks like we have a bit of a player profile expert here in Luke as well, which will indeed come in very handy! His latest one here is on pending new signing Axel Disasi from Monaco! And sticking with player profiles, Luke also had one on Ugochukwu (we’ll just call him Les) over the weekend here!
Oh, and on the subject of legends who help us out here on the site and are part of our amazing team. Will Reyner had his latest out over the weekend - a match report of our win against Fulham here!
Over the weekend, Mauricio Pochettino already lifted his first silverware as Blues boss. It’s a Chelsea thing!! OK, so it’s a pre-season tournament named The Premier League Summer Series, but we take it with wide open hands and we use that to set the bar for the rest of the season. Luke reviewed it here and rated the players throughout the ‘tournament’.
Luke also kindly started yesterday’s live blog for me, which I then took over around lunchtime. As always, that is the best place to get ALL your latest Chelsea news and transfer reports. Find that here.
Ben Jacobs also does not take holidays, this man works like Fabrizio Romano! So his latest exclusive transfer column for us was also out yesterday. In case you missed that, it has some very interesting info on our Moises Caicedo pursuit, as well as other news on Romeo Lavia and much more in here.
Articles all over the place today!!
Normal service resumes now, I’ll be starting up that live blog from around 8am this morning, and I’ll see you all there!
Peace, Si.
Hope you had a nice time mate. I'm currently waiting to disembark the ferry in Holland before heading to the north of Germany for a festival. Looks like the biblical levels of rain have made their way over there as well!
