LATEST! Sourced transfer news roundup, Sources on Wesley Fofana/defence, Pochettino saying what we needed to hear, Levi Colwill perfect profile for Poch
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 10th July 2023!
Morning all!
It’s been an exciting week at Chelsea Football club and confidence and positivity has been building as new manager Mauricio Pochettino took the reigns for his first week in charge at the club.
He took training for the first time, and then did his first press conference as Blues boss. It was a superb presser, and to kick things off today I have some reactions from myself on some of the impressive quotes that I picked up on here. He’s certainly saying what we all needed to hear!
Let’s get into it now with the transfer news. I have a general sourced article on the plans for the next week or so and it could get very busy. There is a desire to get a deal or two done before the USA tour; news on all positions we are looking at and developments in here.
The next sourced article today is based around Wesley Fofana and his end of season injury issues. There is unfortunately still some concern there, and Chelsea have acted on that. They are also pondering a new centre back name to potentially pursue later on in the window if they need to and should they decide they have to. You can get that name in here.
Talking about the defence, Levi Colwill is back at the club and will hopefully still be able to join our USA tour after a quick break after the Euro U21s. He will be given a prominent role under Pochettino, and we have our tactical analyst Ryan Gunness explain exactly why in this one here.
Finally, let’s sweep up all the latest Chelsea news, general news, quotes, and transfer news in Sunday’s Chelsea news report here. In this article, I also explain the situation with Macca and the Podcast, and where we are at with that and what the plans are. Thanks again for your understanding and patience with this. Need your input in this one please everyone!
Some developments on our Dusan Vlahovic interest as well in the article above 👀
Have a blast!
Peace, Si.
