The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 7th July 2023!

Morning all,

Yesterday was a very sad day in the world of Chelsea, and that is because our club captain and legend Cesar Azpilicueta officially announced he has left the club to join Atletico Madrid.

We all knew it was coming as we had seen the reports, and we all agreed that it is the right time to part ways with him (many think it should have been sooner), but the emotional video that he posted saying goodbye to Chelsea fans hit HARD. Azpi was crying and to be honest, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house! Diogo Costa of Porto is a target for Chelsea this summer as they search for a new stopper, and I have some quite significant developments to report from our sources in this one here.

Finally, I had to scramble around for a guest yesterday once again as Macca went AWOL. I will be speaking to Macca and finding out where he is at, but I might need to look for a replacement Podcast host soon. I’m leaving it up to him of course as I don’t want him to leave the Pod.

It’s Friday, so that means no live blog today….. OR DOES IT….!?

Well folks, I have some great news! We have another new guy helping us out and he has kindly offered to run a live blog for you all every Friday! So anything I get today I will send that to Luke to put on the blog, and he is also in contact with Rob and Charlie now as well. So the content will flow today. He might even look at doing some Saturday’s for us moving forward, but not this weekend. So anything I get on Saturday will be posted on the Substack App chat section only.
