LATEST! Sourced news on Mohammed Kudus, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Thiago Silva, Plus end this Mount madness either way, and transfer rumours galore...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 26th June 2023!
Morning all,
It was a another crazy few days in the Chelsea rumour mills this weekend, and I hope you all enjoyed the spontaneous Q&A session I did on the Substack App on the chat? The questions and answers are still there now if anyone missed it and wants to see what I said.
A good place to start today in a fast-changing environment of the transfer window would be the general news report from Sunday here. Any sourced stuff plus all the rest of the transfer rumours will be found in this one. News in this too of one departure and one incoming medical completed!
A lot has been said once again about Mason Mount this weekend and Manchester United’s attempts to sign him. I have got so bored and fed up of this entire saga and the PR games on either side that I’ve let my good friend The Score take over on a Mount article today! A contribution article from him on it here simply titled ‘We’re bored of the Mount saga - get it resolved.’
THREE sourced stories for you all now! I know right!? :)
The first one on our interest in Ajax’s versatile Mohammed Kudus and what is happening with that here. Charlie wrote this one with me and provided some excellent info on Kudus from his insights and contacts there.
Thiago Silva’s Chelsea future is clear, right? He’s staying at Chelsea, right? Well, you might want to read the latest on that here. It’s also a general centre back plans article with news on other names.
Finally, captain Cesar Azpilicueta looks like he might be leaving the club this summer. I have a sort of half tribute and half sourced news article reporting on that situation and what is happening with it here.
This week I have a few things on and I am going to Benidorm for a stag do next weekend. So today I’m going to post an article explaining a few things and the rota for this week! Don’t worry, the content will be coming thick and fast and I am still here all week until Friday, and the legend that is Charlie will cover anything I cannot do. So as always, we got you all covered regardless. More on that later today.
Live blog up and running today from 8am, ‘see’ you all there!
Peace, Si.
