LATEST! Moises Caicedo is a Blue!! Romeo Lavia next!! Exclusive Ben Jacobs column, Sources: Plans for rest of the window, Poch to switch formations again?
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 15th August 2023!
Morning all!
We finally got the Moises Caicedo deal over the line and announced, and what a moment it was! Massive day for everyone involved at Chelsea, and it was beautiful seeing him finally become a Blue! Romeo Lavia next hopefully!!
The Caicedo saga has been completely crazy, and it’s one that has had us all fully invested and consumed. But Chelsea finally got their man over the weekend even if it did take a hijack attempt from Liverpool to finally push us into action. It’s been a real saga, one for the ages! I give my opinion on it all from start to finish here, as well as provide some key details on the fee and what happened, etc.
Things are not slowing down at all out there right now as Chelsea continue to make moves and plan to finish the transfer window on a high. We still have a large number of outgoing deals to tie up, as well as more arrivals.
I have a big sourced article here on the general plans across a number of positions for this next two and a half weeks before the window closes. Some names in here and more names to come!
Before going anywhere else, make sure you check back on yesterday’s live blog here. This is THE best place to gather ALL of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours and due to how quick things change and how much sourced snippets and updates I get handed to me during the day in transfer windows, you need to make sure you’re honed into these blogs every day as the most important priority! You can see the massive Caicedo and Lavia news from yesterday unravel here!
Ben Jacobs had his latest exclusive Chelsea column out for us yesterday so if you have missed that one, you can recap it here. Loads of info in this and more on our transfer plans.
Mauricio Pochettino went through pre-season playing with his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, but against Liverpool he went with a back three. In here I explain how he might switch it again, IF we manage to get the rest of our transfer targets done this window.
It’s a fast moving and developing time in the transfer window, so make sure to join me once again on the live blog today, which I’ll fire up from around 8am!
Peace, Si.
Morning Simon. Another incredible day at the live blog hopefully. Let’s hope we can get Lavia and Olise over the line soon, wind up our GK options before the window is shut
