LATEST! Mason Mount situation (truths and opinion), Outgoings updates, Excited for Pochettino, My week in Turkey, and all the latest Blues news...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 2nd June 2023
Morning all,
As you would have seen from yesterday’s live blog, I am back on the site after a week away holidaying in Turkey!
I had the best time away, and Charlie did the best job covering me in my absence and keeping the show going! You can read about that, see a few photos of our trip, and hear a bit about what I got up to here for those interested.
Back to the football now, and more importantly, back to the Chels! I tried to stay as connected as possible to sources whilst I was away, and I kept an eye on things from afar. The Mason Mount saga has certainly not calmed down or got any clearer, and now he has agreed terms to join Manchester United. I have some strong views on this situation and also delivered some truths on it here.
As we know, with June beginning yesterday it is going to kick off a crazy month of players sales at our club when the transfer window opens very soon. Plenty of deals are already being worked on and we are getting ready to say goodbye to a number of players. I’ve gone through them all here to see where we are at.
Whilst I was away my choice of reading whilst relaxing was the Mauricio Pochettino book. Told you, I can never fully switch off from the Chels! It got me even more excited that he is our new manager though, and I’ve explained why in here adding some of my favourite snippets of quotes from Poch.
Finally for today, take a look back through yesterday’s live blog here, as there was a lot going on yesterday and gave me a very busy first day back!
Macca had to pull out of the Podcast last minute yesterday so I recorded a solo transfer updates video which you can find here.
I’ll be chatting to Frank Leboeuf today for his latest column, so look out for that. I’ve also decided to run another blog today (Friday) seeing as I just had a week off! So do join me for that from around 8am this morning!
Have a good one!
Peace, Si.
