LATEST! Four sourced stories on Caicedo, Costa, Onana (Andre and Amadou), Lavia, Cherki, and much more! Plus, Si back on the live blog!
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 5th July 2023!
Morning all,
Si back in the building here once again after a short trip away in Benidorm at the weekend. I left you all in VERY capable hands in the form of Charlie, who absolutely kicked butt on the content front again. Once more, my sincere thank you to Charlie for covering and keeping the show going.
Whilst I’m back in body, I’m not yet in spirit, and this week is once again super busy for me as I am catching up on everything whilst running on empty and a severe lack of sleep! Despite arriving back in the UK at 6am yesterday morning with no sleep, I got the blog up and running, so that here is the best place to head to in order to get ALL your latest Chelsea news in the same place today.
And what I did when I got back was check in with sources and round up on a number of our transfer deals and situations right now. So I have four big sourced stories to go through.
The first one is what the people want to know about the most right now, and that is the negotiations for Chelsea to try and sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer. You can get the latest on that here.
From the midfield to the back now, and one situation that we have all firmly voiced our opinions on next, and that is the importance of signing a new number one this summer. Sourced news on Andre Onana and Diogo Costa for you here.
Chelsea’s wage structure is a big talking point this summer, and it will be directly effecting our recruitment plans and the type of players we are looking to sign. Get all the inside info on that here.
And we started with the midfield so let’s go back and end with it today. Caicedo is the priority, but I’ve addressed noise on Romeo Lavia and Rayan Cherki as well as given a big sourced update on the midfield in general here, including attacking midfielders and wingers.
Thank you to every single one of you for your understanding the last couple of weeks, and once again, a massive thanks to Charlie, The Score, and Rob Pratley for keeping things going at the weekend!
Live blog will start usual time this morning around 8am!
Peace, Si.
