LATEST! Bournemouth preview, Boehly speaks, Must sign for the present, Measuring the situation, Plus much more...
Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 5th May
Morning all,
Two Chelsea games in one week this week, what on earth did we all do to deserve that, hey?
Chelsea make a trip down to the south coast to face a team on exactly the same points as us right now, Bournemouth. They could leap frog us in the league tomorrow, and Wolves could also go above us. We could also see ourselves climb back to 11th place, but as ever lately, there are zero expectations from me. You can read my full preview here.
Next up, we are all sat here ‘patiently’ waiting for news on our next manager and whether it will be the expected Mauricio Pochettino. You might want to check out the preview above for what I know/think on that, but anything else around about it would have been covered in the live blog from yesterday which you can catch here.
Some more perspectives now on the current situation and where we are. I began by dissecting Todd Boehly’s words this week, with our co-owner coming out and speaking about our issues right now. It’ll be great to see Todd address the fans directly, even though it was still great to hear from him. Get my full thoughts on that here.
I have once again looked at our current situation and measured it all up in my next article here. I think this is probably well worth a read if you haven’t already.
Finally for today, I think it’s very important that Chelsea look at a certain criteria of player when signing a new spine of the team this summer. We need the right personalities and ideally, Premier League proven players. This is what I want to see here.
Myself and Macca did a community Q&A Podcast yesterday for the subs only. We had A LOT of questions to get through, so there is SO much info in this one here!
As always, if anything big pops off this weekend I’ll be on the Substack chat on the app - but otherwise, ‘see’ you all on Sunday!
Have a good weekend!
Peace, Si.
