Good evening ladies and gents,
I have a firm belief that our attacking players are really starting to connect with one another and form little relationships.
Some of the attacking transitions and combinations we have seen in the few league games this season have been excellent.
After that awful 22/23 season where we couldn’t buy a goal it is so nice to see us score so many goals.
At the moment conceding has been our issue but that is something that will come over time, and stats show that we do have one of the better defences in the league although we’ve conceded 5 goals in 3 games, we are statistically the 3rd best defence for giving up chances.
In typical Chelsea fashion we have conceded a couple of pretty good goals and one that Sanchez should have saved.
There are so many little things I like about the direction this team are going and the clear signs of improvement and philosophy under Maresca but there is a long way to go.
Whilst our attacking players are further down the line than our defensive players in terms of gelling as a unit, the defence has been consistently picked so far, hopefully Malo Gusto is only out for days/weeks rather than months and we get Reece James back soon. But the other 3 are immovable as long as they are fit.
What do you all think and do you see signs of a team forging?
Thanks for reading.

Some of the attacking combinations I saw during the Wolves game was breathtaking.
Attacking players are showing huge improvements from beginning of last season to now.
I’m looking forward to Jadon Sancho and Neto settling in.
I also think us having the Conference League to help players get additional minutes will help build team chemistry.
Hopefully the defense also starts improving with time.
I think the addition of Neto has been vital. Obviously he's needed no time to settle in because of his wealth of Premier league experience. But his position high and wide on the left, together with his talent, seems to have created room for Palmer to operate who, in turn, can link up with great effect with Madueke. So the dots have drawn up really nicely
