Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan.
I’m told that as of this morning, the deal is now ‘close’ after speaking to my best source.
The details I am not fully aware of as of yet, but I’m confident to write that it appears Chelsea are close to completing the signing of Hakimi ahead of PSG.
The general consensus from Italian reports is that Marcos Alonso will be included in the deal, and the fee is around £40-£50m. I cannot confirm or deny this as it stands, but these are some very reliable sources reporting this.
As I told you at the start of this week, personal terms will not be an issue and have been agreed in principle if not signed off officially yet. But with these deals the terms will always be agreed (not always officially in the sense of signing the documents), but they will always be ready to go with those before they sort the fee.
But it looks promising now for both of these and Chelsea look close to announcing their first signing of the summer.
How long we take to announce it, who knows… We know that our announcements sometimes take a while, but let’s hope this one is officially confirmed sooner this time.
I always feel the need to say that until these deals are officially announced, anything can change and anything can happen. But the information I’ve typed above I know to be true and I’m confident with the source telling me.

Hakimi to Chelsea close..
That would certainly be making a serious statement of intent for pre-season training. One nearly down. Only Haaland and Rice to make it 3 Aces.
