It had to come, I think we were all finally pretty much on the same page come the very end there. Graham Potter’s time as Chelsea manager is over, and it had to be.
I think the main thing keeping me holding onto the faith by a thin thread until the Aston Villa defeat was the fact that I just didn’t want the manager merry-go-round anymore. But in this instance, there was just no other option in the end. I thought the club were going to dig their heels in and insist on sticking with their choice in Potter, and I feared the worst. But I applaud them for stepping up and pulling the plug on Sunday.
