The 2024 New Years Day Chelsea FC Newsletter!
Welcome to the first SPTC Newsletter of 2024!!!
Happy New Year to our amazing community here at SPTC, I wish you all the very best for 2024 and once again thank you all for choosing to be here with us on this amazing journey every day!
I’m sure there will be a few hangovers this morning after a heavy night last night - I hope you all had fun whatever you got up to. I must be getting old, because I am fresh as a daisy after a quiet night and not a drop of alcohol in sight, and I’m even going to head off for a run in a second!! What’s going on!? More on that next month…. ;)
The first article of the day is our Happy New Year segment here. In this, not only do I wish you all a Happy New Year and thank you all once again for being here, we have our best Chelsea moments of 2023, our Player of 2023, and allowing you to vote for yours, as well as much more.
And of course, we start 2024 in the best possible way that is our bread and butter on this site, a transfer update! And it’s also very fitting because not only is today the first day of 2024, it’s also the first day of the January transfer window, so we are all about to get much busier along with much more drama! I have a deep dive exclusive transfer article with the latest updates on many names, outgoings and arrivals, here. A must read to see where we are at - also, a new (old) striker name in this.
The Score has been producing some incredible content for us all of late, and he is really getting into the grove of things. After his last article (an open letter to the owners) went down an absolute storm (which says a lot), he’s got his latest one out here, simply titled ‘9 reasons why we must not sack Pochettino’. Another must read from Score!
Chelsea played on Saturday and won their second game in a row! It was nice to end 2023 with a victory, even though in true (recent) Chelsea style we did our best to mess it up at the end. A win is a win, and I give my post-match thoughts, player/manager ratings, and much more in here.
As well as my debrief article, we had the ever popular tactical analysis piece from the superbly talented Seun out. You can read that deep dive in full here.
And finally, the full news roundup report from New Years Eve can be found here.
A massive SIX articles to kick off 2024!!
I will be starting up a live blog and running it as much as I can today, but I am seeing family in the afternoon and going for food so it will not be a normal live blog and will not be regular posting. I will round everything up in the evening when I get home. Join me when the hangovers wear off ;)
Thanks once again all, and I hope you all have a great New Years Day!
Peace, Si.
