EXCL: Whole season being looked at in Pochettino review - Bryce Kavanagh's voice to carry weight, Poch had his say to Boehly already, Estevao is a 'now' player, Chelsea want CB, LB, ST, & maybe a CM!
Inside Chelsea with Ben Jacobs!
Chelsea end the season in sixth place and must now hope Manchester City beat Manchester United in the FA Cup Final to qualify for the Europa League. If Manchester United win at Wembley, Chelsea will fall into the Europa Conference League.
Ending the season with five-straight victories is a magnificent response following the FA Cup semi-final exit to Manchester City and the 5-0 humbling at Arsenal.
The key game that sparked the run was Aston Villa, though. Chelsea were 2-0 down and Villa cruising; but the second-half comeback to earn a point turned the entire season around.
The final-day win over Bournemouth wasn't perfect, and I still can't believe Dominic Solanke missed from close range in injury-time. But there is an art to winning when not quite at your best.
It was also fantastic to see such a wonderful sendoff for Thiago Silva. It won't be the last time we see him at Stamford Bridge that's for sure. He's been a brilliant player and leader and I wish him and his family well. As he said on the pitch, perhaps one day we'll see his kids play for Chelsea's first team.
Chelsea have been clinical in the last five games. And there was so much to like about the Moises Caicedo goal. Nicolas Jackson's pass was incisive, and Raheem Sterling's run positive, and this forced Neto off his line.
Conor Gallagher then hounded the Bournemouth keeper resulting in the ball falling to Caicedo, and what a way for the Ecuadorian to score his first Chelsea goal, expertly finishing with a lob from 50.5-yards!
Caicedo has been brilliant down the stretch, and arguably Enzo Fernandez's absence has contributed to this. Marc Cucurella and Trevoh Chalobah have also been outstanding.
Djordje Petrovic, Gallagher and Jackson all deserve credit as well. Jackson has finished the season with 17 goals in all competitions, one more than Didier Drogba managed in his first season at Chelsea.
