Chelsea’s disappointing 1-0 loss to bottom-side Southampton has certainly changed the mood, but that doesn’t mean Graham Potter will be sacked. This is a real test of the ownership’s position on him. They really don’t want to make a change. I expect Potter to be in charge for Spurs at the very least.

As I have said many times, Potter was hired because he is deemed to be the right football, strategic and personality fit. What has bought him time to date is the belief that once the injury crisis ends (including fit again players now finding sharpness), and new signings settle, Chelsea will improve. They just need to start scoring.
