Chelsea are now starting to advance in their plans to sign a new centre back in one of the upcoming two transfer windows.

A new centre back is a priority for the club, but depending on circumstances and how things go from now until the end of December, the club are pondering whether to bring a new centre back in for the winter window, or wait until the summer window.

Chelsea have been looking at a number of centre back names, and they are now looking to whittle down the shortlist to some key ones.
