Enough is enough, change is needed NOW, What are they seeing that nobody else is? Chelsea squad described as 'human soup', Pochettino lacks backbone and fire in his belly, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 25th April 2024!
Morning all,
We recorded our latest Podcast a day earlier this week because I have a game myself tonight (great to take my mind off Chelsea). So if you haven’t checked that out yet, myself and Jai have gone in on the issues we are facing as a club right now and review the Arsenal embarrassment, which WAS embarrassing despite what Pochettino deludedly says. Tune in here.
There was loads of reactions to the Arsenal game on the live blog yesterday, many different quotes going around, and news on Pochettino’s future. There was also comments from our community on here and what everyone is feeling; some passionate and clear views in this here. I also put out sourced information in this on what we are hearing about Pochettino at Chelsea.
More reactions from Arsenal from myself, and other various media outlets now. The first one we can start with is Chelsea’s team being referred to as ‘human soup’. I had to laugh at this because it’s true. All of this in here being written about Chelsea is impossible to disagree with and actually, is spot on.
My next article is on what the owners and sporting directors have done completely wrong - our squad build. We can blame Pochettino all we like, but it’s now completely factual to me that the squad that he has been given is young, inexperienced, unproven, and raw, and it’s FAR from good enough right now. A rant on that from me in here along with words from Joe Cole - if we all see it, why don’t they?
For me, the above is most to blame, but Pochettino is also to blame, massively. His tactical flaws are clear to see and anyone who says otherwise, I am afraid you are very wrong. Yes, the players might like him (no surprise when he continues to shade them from the heat and molly coddle them), but he is tactically out of his depth, and he lacks back bone and fire in his belly. Those are the the reasons he has to go, and I go all through that in here.
The Score has also had enough, and that is the title for his next article with us today. He goes through all of our issues from top to bottom in a very passionate piece that most of us will resonate with in here. Score is also calling for Poch to be sacked (why wasn’t’ he instantly on Tuesday night? Ridiculous, because we can still get Europa League). But Score, just like me, is pinning blame on others and not just Pochettino.
We have another game Saturday….. Yikes.
Join me on the live blog today from 8.30am this morning, and we can start looking ahead to Aston Villa now.
Peace, Si.
I’m dreading the game on Saturday. People say why do you put yourself through this but it’s like a drug or illness you can’t stop. I can’t. I think I will watch the game rationally but it just doesn’t happen I’ve been doing it too long. It’s bad at the moment but not as bad as in the 80’s when we were relegated. That is a terrible feeling and I don’t want to experience it again. Thanks.
