It was always inevitable to see rumours of Eden Hazard leaving Real Madrid this summer after the turmoil time he has had at his ‘boyhood club.’
There wouldn’t have been any other team that Hazard would have left Chelsea for back in the summer of 2019. He adores Chelsea, the place, Cobham, London, the fans, everything about the club.
But an opportunity to join the club he has been in love with since a kid, proved too much to turn down, and Chelsea fans didn’t blame him.
It’s been a disastrous move, with Hazard struggling badly with reoccurring injuries, as well as form.
There are now certain people and media outlets around Real Madrid who want to see Hazard out the door and end the nightmare, hence Monday’s reports that ‘Eden Hazard wants to leave Real Madrid and go back to Chelsea.’
So are these reports true? Well, I’m told Edu is a reliable reporter. However, I’m also told by a very reliable source that this is being pushed by those who want to see Hazard leave Madrid this summer, and as of right now, doesn’t carry a lot of substance.
We know from having Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur on our Podcast last week that Chelsea are only one of two clubs he would leave Real Madrid for, with the other being Lille - So as you can imagine, it’s an easy link to put together.
I’m not saying it definitely won’t happen, as I said, Hazard LOVES Chelsea and deep down you know he’d come back. However, he won’t leave Real Madrid unless he is pushed out of the club.
Would Chelsea even want him back? Again, as Terreur told us on our Podcast, there are some high up at Chelsea who would take Hazard back in a heartbeat. But whether that suits or fits in with the clubs plans this summer, I don’t believe it does.
Hazard on a no-risk loan move back to Stamford Bridge? Absolutely, I’m all over that. Even Hazard for a lower fee even? I’m there. But Hazard for £50+ million? Not so much for me now to be honest.
Is Hazard finished? Absolutely not, and I fully believe that. He’s been unlucky with injuries and his head space is not in the right place, that makes such a difference to how your body looks after itself and repairs.
I love the fairy tale of this story, but I just can’t see it happening. Never say never (my famous transfer related saying!).

I have a dream of seeing both Callum & Eden on either wings feasting in the prem, but lets be real it ain't happening right?😭
Tbh Cal would benefit a lot if Eden came back, he could be his mentor & help him live upto his potential & Eden deep down left Chelsea claiming Cal would be the future of CFC & he was confident in what he said. People forget that Eden actually said that. Cal is the future believe it or not.
