A TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 1st of February 2024!
Morning everyone,
Welcome to another January transfer window DEADLINE DAY!
But before we get to all of that, we had a game on last night and need to review it!
Chelsea travelled to Liverpool to face Jurgen Klopp’s side in the Premier League. It was disaster all round unfortunately though as Liverpool proved they are just a much better team than this current Chelsea. There was a lot to dissect and speak about, and you can grab my full thoughts on the game, as well as my manager and player ratings in here.
Right, onto the window now, and it’s been so SO quiet for Chelsea. I know some of you will be pleased with that, and others will be annoyed with that - and I’m sure you will all have valid reasons for both.
But to get all the latest on anything that happened yesterday, and anything that might happen now today, check in on all the latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours from across the last 24 hours in here. This is where I will have any sourced information on any late bits of drama that might happen, including a possible striker out, and a striker in (I refuse to believe we wouldn’t be stupid enough to not replace him).
The Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher situations have been the biggest talking points this week. And yesterday I put my full opinions and my stance on both players and both situations, which you can recap on here.
Chelsea have the worst crossing accuracy in the Premier League this season apparently. However, I am here to tell you that this does NOT mean a true and proper number 9 will not thrive here. In fact, read my thoughts here to tell you why I actually think it PROVES that we do need a new number 9 and that they WILL shine here.
Myself and Jai will be doing a Podcast later at 4.30pm UK time with the show released around 6pm. We will of course be discussing the transfer window and how quiet it has actually ended up being, and we will be chatting more in detail about the Liverpool game (do I have to?). See you all there!
I’ll be on the live blog before that this morning though and of course, right up until the transfer deadline tonight. You never know what could happen, never say never….
Peace, Si.
