Good Evening Ladies and Gents,
In an evening where his Chelsea teammate Conor Gallagher failed, Cole Palmer stood out massively.
He made an instant impact in his 22 minute cameo and replaced an out of sorts Bukayo Saka.
Cole Palmer's game by numbers vs. Slovenia:
100% pass accuracy
22 touches
3 dribbles
2 crosses
1 shot on target
He could have scored with a brilliant chance right at the end but made the wrong decision to go near post rather than bend it to the far post, either way he made a statement.
Conor Gallagher in the other hand was really poor in a double pivot (shock), played out of position and in an uncomfortable area of the pitch for him and that showed massively.
Conor will see himself back on the bench for the next game, I’m certain of that.
Cole and Conor’s next involvement will be Sunday at 5pm GMT where Englands opponents are yet to be decided.
Thanks for reading

Hi Luke
I'm not sure Palmer going for the far post wasnt blocked by the defense.
Gallagher didnt seem to know what he was there for but you could have said that about the majority of the England team.
I like the suggestion of Saka at Right back bombing up the reft wing in support whilst Palmer takes the right wing.
That moves Walker to left back.
Too many England players seem anchored to the spot, lack of pace, lack of urgency and also lack of ambition.
Cole Palmer was excellent last night a real burst of energy and breath of fresh air to this England team ,got to play in all the remaining matches oh I forgot Southgate is the manager ☹️so who knows. Was great to hear Cole getting all the praise from the pundits too so deserved fantastic player .
