Good Afternoon ladies and gents,
WHAT. A. FEELING!!!!! WE ARE IN ANOTHER CUP FINAL…………
How great is it to know that in 4/5 weeks times there is another cup final for The Chels??
I am over the moon and we done it in such style!!
Firstly, Poch absolutely smashed the lineup, when it came out I was instantly overly-confident. We were shaky the first 5 mins or so, but as soon as that goal went in it was cruise control from there on in.
Our press was excellent, people can talk about Middlesbrough mistakes, BUT we forced those mistakes every time. We were ruthless in attack, solid in defence for the most part and everyone pulled their weight. Mudryk was slightly off the pace which was a shame.
Axel Disasi had his best game in a Chelsea shirt, Colwill was excellent, Enzo was his absolute best, Caicedo was so effective, just the whole team were excellent. I could go on and on and I will in the Player Ratings.
Player Ratings:
Djordje Petrovic: 7/10
Didn’t have barely anything to do, made a couple of smart saves and had no chance with their goal, which was excellent.
Axel Disasi: 8.5/10
He was brilliant on the ball, aggressive off the ball and he was bursting up and down. His interception for his goal to start the move was excellent!
Thiago Silva: 7.5/10
Didn’t put a foot wrong at all, had barely anything to do defensively, was unlucky on the yellow card which was wrong in my opinion, and he played some brilliant forwarded passes.
Levi Colwill: 8/10
Playing in his natural position he excelled, what a shock! I am not one of the massive Poch haters for playing him LB because 75% of the time he hasn’t really had a choice. He broke up play well, he covered in behind well and played some of his excellent passes although it took him a little while to get his range going.
Ben Chilwell: 9/10 MOTM
Oh how I have missed this man, he was incredible tonight, I just love that trademark out to in run behind the defence. He was tidy on the ball, ran well and made an excellent pass for the first goal. A fit Ben Chilwell makes life a lot better!!
Moises Caicedo: 8/10
People are still getting on his back and the only explanation I have is they don’t understand Football and what he does, this guy is so quietly effective, he has been very good over the past couple of months without anyone really singing his praises.
Enzo Fernandez 8.5/10
He picked up where he left off from the Fulham game, from the very first minute he showed intent, he was energetic and picked up some brilliant positions, that were maybe a little to advanced for my liking. But he is developing his game so well in the final third which will make him the complete midfielder.
Raheem Sterling: 8/10
He was lively and direct from minute one, was involved in pretty much everything and will feel hard done by to not have a goal of his own. He has clearly learnt from those recent missed sitters by squaring to Broja for the first.
Cole Palmer: 9/10
Cold Palmer, he was what his name is, he was COLD!! both finishes were excellent, all of his link up play and passing was class. He looks more and more like a bargain every single day!
Mykhailo Mudryk: 6/10
Sloppy on the ball, had no real intent and rightfully hooked at half time.
Armando Broja: 7/10
He was lively and held the ball well, unlucky the defender got the nick for the first goal because he would have put it in the net himself. All the goals stemmed from wide and the ball was cut back
All of the subs did well and would have all impressed Poch in certain ways!
Thank you all for reading

No excuses now for Pochettino not to play Chilwell at LB (subject to availability)
Thank you for your very honest analysis, accurate I believe as well. The return of Chilwell just shows how Poch has been choosing his team with one hand behind his back. With James/Gusto on the other wing and the ability to either go past and round the wide player or invert as Chillwell did so well last night will add the additional dynamic to our team that we have been looking for. Whilst Mudrych may not have played well last night, but his presence alone created space for Chilwell, and that should not be ignored. Finally, if you go back over the last few games our pressing has been particularly good and has resulted in a lot of goals, that commentators and some supporters often see as the oppositions mistakes. The reality is we put the pressure on those players to create the chances. Onwards and upwards and already looking forward to the cup final.
