The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 19th December 2024!
Morning all,
Welcome to another Chelsea FC Newsletter, the match day edition!
The Blues have a couple of games before Christmas, and tonight is the first of them. We have Shamrock Rovers rolling in to London town tonight, not something I ever expected to write! It’s one of those games where we have no idea what to expect, but I AM expecting some stat-padding chances for a number of our lads at least! Join us on today’s live blog from 8.30am for all the build up and predictions. We will also have the latest Podcast out just after lunchtime today doing a bit more previewing on the game and much more.
This week has been filled with the negative Mykhailo Mudryk news. I wrote some words on it myself now. It’s a delicate situation and the fact is, that none of us will probably ever truly know what has happened here. I put my views out on it all in here.
Round up all of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in here, covering any quotes, transfer news, interviews, and Enzo Maresca’s pre-match presser!
There was a nice interview out with former Blue Edouard Mendy this week. His Chelsea career was a real rollercoaster, and he has spoken about it a lot in many quotes I pulled in here. He also says Chelsea tried to swap him with an AC Milan goalkeeper! Some very interesting quotes and comment in this.
Some positive content now. Thiago Silva was back at Cobham this week! It was great to see the main man back, and we all know he will be returning again in a working capacity some time in the future. Why Silva is ‘propa’ Chels in here.
Chris Sutton has spouted some more nonsense in here. He thinks Chelsea’s owners will be laughing at everyone right now. Well, they won’t be, and I explain why and much more in the article.
Right, see you all on the live blog soon!
Peace, Si.
Also funnily enough I sat next to the 50% owner of Rovers, a guy named Ray Wilson, at someone's 70th birthday party early this year. I recall Ray talking about his investment in a football team but didn't pay enough attention as I was more interested to talk infrastructure finance. Anyhow gives me a connection for the game tomorrow.
I think the Rovers are 6th on the table and I will bet good money they will be up for playing Chelsea in London. I'd not be underestimating the intensity in this game.
