Morning!
It was another Champions League night on the road for Chelsea last night and Spain was the destination.
I’m still absolutely deflated from the outcome. We deserved to win and should have won. We had it there for the taking, but a mixture of individual errors and once again, missed chances, means we headed home and out of the Champions League. Proud, but gutted. You can check out my watch along match review and final thoughts here.
There was lots going on yesterday before the game with the ownership stories and a vast amount of other stuff including our early team news release FOUR hours before kick off. You can catch up on all of that and the latest Chelsea news here. You will also find the first full public statement from one bidder Stephen Pagliuca, who broke his silence yesterday.
Staying with ownership stuff here with a piece on Roman Abramovich’s involvement in the sale of the club and where we are with that right now.
A transfer rumour to rate now and noise is growing of a potential departure from Chelsea this summer for Jorginho. Read the latest on that situation here as well as what I am told on it.
Finally, back by popular demand, the second installment of our article series titled ‘Old Skool Gems’ and upon request of one of the subscribers in our community on here, we have profiled the brilliant Eidur Gudjohnsen here.
That’s all folks!
Peace, Si.
I think we played excellently, with grace, determination, and a point to prove. Yes, another UCL Semi Final and especially knocking out Real Madrid at their home would've been great, but I'm absolutely proud of the boys. Gave everything on the pitch. I hope we win the FA cup and end the season on a high note.
Props to TT! An irreplaceable manager.
