Chelsea Newsletter - Wednesday 6th October
All the latest on Rudiger, centre midfield situation, Chalobah smashing it, Tuchel and Lukaku disagreeing, and the latest general news sweep
On Monday evening pretty much every single social media App went down other than Twitter… and of course this very page!!
We soldiered on, we kept going, and we got you your Tuesday morning Newsletter yesterday!
All jokes aside, the whole blackout was weird, always makes you think a lot deeper about what has actually happened. I’ve not read much on it, but it was all back up again in the morning like nothing had happened! Twitter and Si & Dan Talk Chelsea stayed bossing it!
Anyways, we proceed to Wednesday’s newsletter and it’s happy hump day!
First of all, Roman Abramovich is reportedly back in London, read that breaking news from yesterday afternoon here.
Antonio Rudiger was the main subject of any news surrounding Chelsea yesterday, with a lot of sources offering their reports on it, and Rudiger himself speaking publicly on the situation.
Read all that, as well as what my own sources have told me here.
Speaking of Chelsea defenders who are in fine form right now, what about Trevoh Chalobah? He’s been superb this season and he has surprised many, including Thomas Tuchel.
Read about that and the impression he has been making on our German head coach here.
As I promised yesterday, I wanted to speak a little bit on our centre midfield situation and how Tuchel is now blessed with great options there who are all in good form. So I’ve typed up a detailed comment piece on this here.
Did y’all read Romelu Lukaku’s comments this week on his style of play? They were VERY interesting, and what is also interesting is the words that Tuchel said on Lukaku when he first joined.
I’ve done some digging and a bit of reporting on this situation here.
Finally, to finish off, here is my random news sweep of anything else you may have missed from Tuesday!
Don’t worry folks, we are now two days closer to domestic football returning and trust me, I’ll be counting this down!
Cheers all, Si.
