Morning!
It’s matchday! Chelsea face Tottenham tonight in the semi final of the League Cup, and it comes as a great opportunity to get to a final and win some silverware.
Check out my preview of the game here including stats, facts, and a rough guess at a predicted line up.
Apart from the Romelu Lukaku situation, all the talk right now around the club is the wing back situation and who will come in to replace Ben Chilwell. I’ve got an update on that here.
Going back to Lukaku briefly, I’ve drawn a line under this situation now personally, and I explain why here. As I also told you guys on Tuesday, Lukaku planned to issue an official apology to the fans, the manager, the board, and his team mates on Wednesday and he has done this. You can watch that and read the key quotes here.
How about the latest on the centre back situation and a quick word on how all our players should take a leaf out of Thiago Silva’s book right now? Peep that here.
We all have mixed feelings of dread, anxiety, and excitement whenever we start a new job, right? Well, Chelsea legend John Terry would have avoided all those feelings bar pure excitement on Tuesday morning as he started his first day of his new job at Chelsea Football Club. What a moment, you can read about that here.
That’s all for now, but if anything develops I’ll be sure to update you guys on here!
Cheers, Si.
