Chelsea Newsletter - Wednesday 3rd August
Covering: Sources on Cucurella, Fofana, Ronaldo, De Jong, Barkley, Werner, Kepa, Slonina, and Carney Chukwuemeka, Plus all the latest Chelsea transfer stories from around the globe!
Good morning!
‘Things are happening’ as they say….. But no really, things ARE happening. Chelsea, in their new unorthodox way (but entertaining) of operating, are pushing to get things done as we approach the final 25 days of the transfer window this week. They even literally signed Carney Chukwuemeka out of nowhere, and you know how pleased this makes/made me for many reasons!
The season starts on Saturday, and in an ideal world I’d have liked to have seen more done in terms of outgoings at least, but as I have always said, I completely hold the faith that we will have things done by the end of the window and Thomas Tuchel will have been fully backed. I’m certainly not going to be negative after the week we are currently in the middle of experiencing - things are certainly moving now.
Let’s start with Marc Cucurella, and I’ve penned some words as well as some updates on that here.
The latest of Wesley Fofana, Gabriel Slonina, some sourced stuff on Ross Barkley as well as others, and all the latest Chelsea transfer news stories can be found here in yesterday’s live blog.
Next up, a massive THREE sourced stories from us now.
One here on Chelsea’s interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United - this might not be as dead in the water as believed.
The next one is a joint article shared between updates on Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Chelsea’s interest in Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong. Some interesting snippets in here.
Finally, a sourced story here not just on Timo Werner’s future, but some other insider bits relating to Thomas Tuchel and the players. One not to be missed for sure.
That’s all folks!
Peace, Si.
Ornstein with a big update now Simon. Good morning. Looks like Cucurella should be done
That’s what had me questioning whether it was genuine....should be clearer today hopefully!
