Covering: Ownership Latest, Time For The Abramovich Conversation? Azpilicueta Contract Extension Triggered - Still Set To Leave, Timo Werner To Dortmund, Harvey Vale Contract Latest, Kante Tribute...
Hey all!
There was a lot to pack in today’s newsletter, with so much going on. You’ve probably noticed the ownership noise dying off a little these last few days. That is because we now await further deadlines, and there are only four (known) bidders for us to speak about.
But anything that is happening on that right now, you will find here in yesterday’s live blog. This also features some more details of Roman Abramovich, and Cesar Azpilicueta having his Chelsea contract extended, and Andreas Christensen joining Barcelona.
On the subject of Abramovich, is it finally time to have THE conversation? Some have suggested to me maybe we aren’t hearing much on the ownership situation and the reason there are more delays is because maybe, just maybe, Abramovich won’t be forced to sell after all? Well, I ponder all of that and more, here.
There was another rare transfer rumour to take a look at and explain more on here as well, with Timo Werner reportedly wanted by Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Harvey Vale provided some very encouraging words on his potential future at Chelsea this week, so it was time to look into that situation and pen some words here.
And finally, a little tribute article for the Birthday boy N’Golo Kante, who turned 31 this week! Here I penned my thoughts, as well as many awesome quotes on Kante from the experts, and some brilliant quotes too from the man himself.
We are hoping to get someone from The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust on the Podcast this week to chat ownership, so keep your eyes peeled on that. Working on it for this Thursday afternoon to be released right away, hopefully.
Peace, Si.
