Good morning!
*WOW! All the below was written BEFORE the big Roman Abramovich news. Of course, nothing is concluded there but this is the first time that it’s made me step back and believe we could actually sell. Trying to get more on this today…
Really enjoyed my evening watching/scouting at Bristol Rovers last night, and thank you to one of our subscribers, Ben Carter, who spoke to me before hand with some great info on Rovers. I scouted two players, I might publish some of the info on here this week if anyone is interested to see how it all works for a scout and learn about a couple of decent talents.
Anyways, the Chelsea news…
We have a game tonight! FA Cup 5th round versus Luton Town! Won’t be easy, and I believe Tuchel will go strong with this being our main chance of a trophy this season for me and our only real chance left to win a domestic cup.
I’m getting a little annoyed with the way some of the media are scrutinising Roman Abramovich now, and this was elevated even more after the press conference when Thomas Tuchel was bombarded with war questions, which you can catch up on here. It’s become tedious, and it’s become disrespectful to all those effected by the war in Ukraine right now. It’s time this circus stopped and focus aimed at where it needs to be and what Roman himself is trying to do, end this war peacefully. Read my full comments on it here.
A tribute to Thiago Silva here now, because honestly, I don’t think we will ever see another Thiago Silva in our lifetimes. The man is a one of a kind and every young player needs to be watching him with a magnified glass if they are to want to make it as a pro.
A player who is looking to emulate Thiago Silva right now and to be honest, he has a decent chance of coming close to it, is Levi Colwill. He was back in action at the weekend after time out injured, and he came back with a bang. I’ve profiled him here and spoken about why he needs to come back into our squad THIS summer.
Andreas Christensen is edging closer to a move to join Barcelona this summer and to be honest, I just want this to be concluded now either way. If he is going, I think we just need to know now. Catch the latest here.
Finally, the live news blog from yesterday is dominated by Aurelien Tchouameni to Chelsea rumours once again, check that out and loads more here.
There won’t be a live blog today as unfortunately I’ll be at my Mother’s Uncle’s funeral so won’t be in a position to update it. I’ll do a sweep up of the general news when I get back later in the day instead.
Peace, Si.
Would love to read your your scouting notes/article on the 2 prospects mentioned esp the process. Thanks
