Chelsea Newsletter - Wednesday 2nd February
Covering: Chelsea back in training, Declan Rice and Jules Kounde news, January reflections, Summer plans, What happened/is happening with Dembele? And Chelsea's interest in Yannick Carrasco..
How is it February already by the way? I’m feeling those lighter Spring evenings coming soon here in the UK, love that.
Anyways, Chelsea will be back sooner than we know know which is enough to get us all excited! It’s Plymouth in the FA Cup on Saturday, and a chance for some youngsters hopefully.
The players have been back in training on Tuesday, and you can check out the latest on who trained, news of a new signing being confirmed, some pretty big Declan Rice and Jules Kounde updates, reactions from January, and a lot more here in yesterday’s Live Chelsea News Blog. Remember, I’m doing these every day (Sunday-Thursday) now so don’t forget to check in regularly to keep updated on the latest Chelsea noise, the blog will be pinned to the top of the web page.
Next up, a transfer rumour to rate, and this time it is a potential option for wing back this summer, which is obviously dependent on circumstances. Check that one out here.
The Spanish media tried their hardest to hype up the Ousmane Dembele saga on deadline day on Monday, as did Sky Sports News! But the truth is, there wasn’t a lot happening, but find out exactly what did/didn’t happen here and what might happen in the future.
With January over for another year, here are my reflections on the window and our lack of activity.
My final piece here is a little in sync with the above one as well, but more looking at how Chelsea fans have a right to feel frustrated with January and pessimistic about the summer. We’ve been here before, let’s hope this time it transpires to reality.
Anyway, glad that’s all over for now, let’s focus on the pitch!
Cheers, Si.
