Covering: Sourced article on Pochettino (latest), Deep dive insights into what to expect from Poch, Brentford preview, Another winger needed for squad building polls, Plus all the latest Chelsea news!
Morning all!
Of course, all the chatter and news is surrounding Mauricio Pochettino coming in as our next manager, which has not been confirmed yet, but is expected to happen.
Before then though, and perhaps why we won’t seen any announcements just yet, Chelsea and Frank Lampard have a game to focus on. We welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge this evening for our midweek Premier League clash. I’d love to see a couple ‘risks’ taken by Lampard, but I’m not so sure he will. I explain that and give my preview and predictions in here. Also my preferred lineup.
Before we hone back in on Pochettino, I need one final vote from you guys for the squad building plans before we can reveal the squad and best Xl we want for next season. We might need another winger/attacker in the squad, select your choice here.
Poch to Chelsea looks set to happen, and if you missed it, I put out a sourced article on it all yesterday with the latest we know, based around Poch and the board being aligned with the squad plans going forward. Plenty of interesting snippets in here including what the appointment will mean for Lampard, when Poch will come in, and what kind of involvement he will have straight away.
The legend that is Charlie, our staff writer here on the site, has put out a hugely extensive and insightful article on Poch and what the players and fans can expect from him. Hugely recommend reading this here, it has a lot of surprising bits of info and facts that I had no clue about. Great stuff from Charlie.
Finally, round up all the latest Chelsea news in here, including what Frank Lampard had to say in his pre-match press conference, and all the rest of the Poch news and transfer news going around yesterday and over night!
That’s it for today! Live blog will be jumping again today no doubt! ‘See’ you all there from 8am!
Peace, Si.
