Chelsea Newsletter - Wednesday 26th January
Covering: Kounde/Sule CFC moves (sources), Dembele to Chelsea latest, Azpilicueta agrees to join Barcelona? Midfielder contracts in 2024, Frank Lampard news, and our LIVE Blog...
Good morning all!
It’s been a strange last week of the transfer window so far. In general it’s been pretty busy, but for Chelsea there is very little going on, but still little bits and pieces bubbling up that we should really keep our eyes on.
The Ousmane Dembele situation is certainly one of those, and I’ve got a bunch of news on that from yesterday’s Live News Blog here. Remember, you can log onto the website and check the Live Blog every day (Sunday-Thursday) as it is where I’ll be positing updates (sourced news or reports) as they happen, and now might be a really good time to get in the habit of checking it!
Another big story right now of course is our pursuit to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla. Although this one will not happen in January, something could soon transpire on this and you can read the latest here, as well as some Niklas Sule to Chelsea news.
What about the future of Cesar Azpilicueta? Well, there are some big claims going around on that, claims that interested me for very good reason. Check that one out here.
This summer is all about our centre back situations and those potentially becoming free agents. But the following summer attentions could turn to the centre midfield area, and we might be face a similar problem. See what I am talking about here.
Finally, it’s been one year since Chelsea ‘parted ways’ with legend Frank Lampard as manager, so I thought it was appropriate to pen some thoughts on that here.
Thanks all, Si.
