Chelsea Newsletter - Wednesday 24th August
Covering: Sources on Gordon, Aubameyang, Nkunku, and Leao, Why I'm backing the manager, Plus all the latest CFC transfer stories...
Morning!
Yesterday was fun, wasn’t it? With news coming out about the potential fee we might be paying to sign Everton’s Anthony Gordon and then another Wesley Fofana bid being rejected. The next meltdown began, one after the other! It is all getting rather daft though, isn’t it!? Counting down to the end of the window personally! Don’t worry, I’m just as concerned as all of you, but I prefer to laugh otherwise I’ll cry 😂
Chelsea are advancing in talks to sign Gordon, and I have the latest on that here, which also includes some slightly better news on the actual fee that we might pay!
Next up, get all our latest sourced stories on Aubameyang, Fofana, and many others, as well as all the latest Chelsea transfer news here from yesterday’s live blog.
There has been a lot of noise on Chelsea’s interest in Rafael Leao from AC Milan this week, so I’ve penned what I know on that, as well as sourced stuff on Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig here.
Off the back of the Gordon meltdowns, I wanted to just reiterate and explain why I am just backing Thomas Tuchel and whoever he wants to sign this summer here. Personally I think he’s done enough to have our backing on targets, but I’ve explained it in a lot more detail in the article.
Finally, a bit of fun really this one here, but just a formation and line up that I would like to see us try at the weekend (I know we wont).
That’s all folks!
Peace, Si.
I know we never know with Chelsea but is it looking like forfana aubameyang Gordon is the only 3 we’re working on before deadline day ? Or is there plan b incase we don’t pull them off .
My worries about stumbling on Fofana are sadly coming true. I wish you have something more positive soon otherwise I can see us blowing this one up. Can’t wait for 1st September to come, I’ve had enough of this window, can’t wait for it to shut and get going with the football...
