Morning all,
It continues to be a very weird week at Chelsea Football Club. A lot is going on and a lot is being said about Graham Potter and his future.
There was even some claims this week from one outlet that Chelsea have approached and been turned down by Mauricio Pochettino as they look to replace Potter. I am told that this report is completely incorrect and no potential new manager has been approached by Chelsea. Also, all week we’ve been hearing briefings from the media about how the club are fully backing Potter still, and this is exactly the case. You can get all of that noise and how yesterday unravelled, plus all the latest Blues news in here.
Next up, a sourced story on strikers, and there is some work being put down on one big name this week. Get all the latest on that in here.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is of course still at the club but continues to not even make the bench. Many people have their views on this and some have been calling for him to be bought back into the starting Xl. I’ve got my views and info on that situation here.
Last Wednesday before the defeat to Dortmund in the Champions League, I asked you all a set of questions about where you stand on Potter. The difference between the answers in this and the general consensus this week is hugely stark. I find this interesting, get those results here.
Finally, it’s time to don your tin hats, at least that is according to the media this week. The club are backing Potter, who has been told to get his tin hat on. I’ll tell you why I’ve got mine on in here as well!
Have a good Wednesday!
Peace, Si.
Don’t often comment Si, but thought I’d say thanks for a really thoughtful series of articles and opinion pieces. Nobody said supporting a football club should be emotionally easy and we have to be considerate of the human element in all performances and subsequent debate on those performances. Also appreciate this forum for the intelligence offered by yourselves and contributors. Hopefully that intelligence can be spread across the more reactionary fan base, but I doubt it... Thanks again. Peace.
