Chelsea Newsletter - Wednesday 20th October
Covering Chalobah the epitome of an academy star, Malmo preview and news, Questions asked on Pulisic's future, Reece James' opportunities coming, plus our general news sweep..
Morning!
It’s a Chelsea match day kind of morning, and not only that, a Champions League match day kind of morning, we love these!
Malmo are not to be underestimated, as Thomas Tuchel emphasised in his press conference yesterday (which I posted every word here on the sit as breaking news and sent out to you guys yesterday).
However, they will certainly be one of the lesser threats we will meet in the Champions League and a chance for us to show up with a convincing performance and result.
Check out my match preview here with some facts, stats, and my views to get you in the mood for the big one.
Reece James was the player speaking alongside Tuchel at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday, which highly likely means he starts tonight.
I’ve wrote some words on James based on his season so far here.
Christian Pulisic is once again unavailable for the match tonight as he is still yet to recover from his ankle injury, that we were first told he would be out for 4 weeks with.
It’s certainly a conversation we need to have now on this subject, and I’ve gone in-depth on that with my info, the facts, and the stats here.
After our Assistant head coach, Zsolt Low, questioned the players mentalities again this week and even Tuchel touched upon it in his presser yesterday, I’ve got a deep dive into Trevoh Chalobah here and why the academy guys are the epitome of players with the right attitudes.
And yep, you’ve guessed it, here is my general news sweep up piece to finish off, covering any other little bits of news you may have missed.
Only one thing left to say… COME ON CHELSEA!!!
