Covering: Lukaku saga - will he stay or go? Who could replace him? My thoughts on it all, The new culture I want to see at CFC, Managing expectations, Summer transfer plans, Latest transfer rumours...
Morning!
We might as well name this one ‘The Romelu Lukaku Edition’, because once again, the Belgian international is taking all the headlines.
It’s really frustrating to be honest. The situation is far from clear and I think Lukaku himself has yet to decide truly what he wants to do here. But as is always the case in situations like these, the media will dissect and report his every little move, like his Lawyer being in Milan yesterday to speak with Inter’s CEO.
It’s far from ideal, and I’ve got a couple of articles on this today. First of all, just some more words on it generally and giving my thoughts, as well as what I’ve been told on it here.
Then, having a look at the scenario of Lukaku leaving and how we could replace him. It seems that Tuchel only really wants a specific profile of striker, and there aren’t many of those around. I’ve got some words on that here.
Another article here that unfortunately does also mention Lukaku (unavoidable right now), but it’s more based around me sending a message to anyone who will listen right now, about creating the kind of culture at Chelsea that I want to see. I think this is so SO important now.
Now, I take a look at the summer ahead and how personally, I am going to manage my own expectations. I take a look at some scenarios and plans this summer here. Oh, and unfortunately Lukaku is mentioned…..
Finally, have a look at all the latest rumours from the day and transfer news surrounding the club from yesterday’s live blog here. Spoiler alert, Lukaku is mentioned here. I’m so damn sorry!!
Tomorrow, my main aim is to mention Lukaku less…. ;)
Peace, Si.
He surely should after his interview debacle stayed quiet. Head done and be as intent on possible on trying to turn yet another disaster of move to us into proving us all wrong. And showing us all the Rom we saw at Milan . But he simply can’t seem to be able to do this. I think a lot of this is what’s going on inside his own head. Seems all too late now and writing was on the wall for some time, even whilst his signature was still wet.
If he is to go now is the best time ever with change of ownership but let's face it Harry Kane is not coming to Chelsea, so if we use Broja its an improvement in one regard if he can deliver TTs style of play, but Lulu did end the season with total most goals even sulking or not being played, best bet back to Italy bring back Tammy
