Good morning!
As we go through September now and the evenings and mornings begin to cool, there is a real sense that the football season is really starting to ‘heat up’ again and those cold midweek games are incoming. The ‘real’ season starts soon!
Chelsea of course, start their Champions League campaign this evening, and although the nights are going to get a lot colder than this, the excitement and atmosphere will really start building up for UCL nights now. Tonight, we have a trip to Croatia (wont be cold there, and what a beautiful country for an away day that is. Chelsea take on Dinamo Zagreb in the opening game of Group E. I haven’t done a match preview article for this one, but I am absolutely buzzing for UCL football to be back!
The summer transfer window slammed shut last Thursday, and attentions are already turning to the January window being just four months away now. But before that, I have done my 2022 summer transfer window review as promised, and it’s a bumper one here.
I mentioned January, so let’s take a look at our early plans for the winter transfer window here, and although it’s not going to be as crazy as the summer, we still expect Boehly and co to be very active yet again!
Best place to head to now is Monday’s general news sweep up here, this is where you’ll find everything that went on on Monday, as well as any other sourced info we have. This is the place to go if you do not want to miss a thing! The live blog will be back today though, and I’ll probably stick my starting line up and score predictions for tonight in there.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has got involved in the ‘should Mendy be dropped?’ debate and given his views on the stopper, as well as some words on Kepa Arrizabalaga. In here, I’ve also given my two pence worth on what I think should happen.
Finally, Armando Broja for me, should already be starting up top for us based on form this season so far. I think he will soon be getting the nod, hopefully even tonight. Whatever happens he is ready for the challenge and hoping to learn from Aubameyang. Words from Broja, as well as my views on the situation here.
That’s it for now. Enjoy the game tonight whether you are lucky enough to be heading out there (already there), or you will be watching on the box. COME ON CHELSEA!!
Peace, Si.
When you have players in a squad that don’t want to be there then you have a problem. They are negative and this rubs off on others.
I think Tuchel has now lost the dressing room due to keeping these players around. Players talk and are influenced both positive and negative. You have to get rid of the negativity. I think it’s time for Tuchel to go as this has now turned sour. Players out of positions, no fight, no passion, it’s time a decision is made as this season will see us drop out of the top four. Not played well for a year now and it’s the same excuse. How many’s times do we need to hear him say “ it’s not good enough” correct it’s not good enough so it’s time to bring someone in who IS good enough. I don’t like the feeling I’m getting from our team right now.
Bring in a new coach, any player that wants to leave goes into the academy until we can sell in January. They will still talk for sure but at least they are not influencing players in training on a daily basis. One rotten egg ruins the box! Unfortunately, we have a few rotten eggs that need putting in the bin asap! Come on Chelsea. Keep up the good work Si! Good luck making sense of this shit show!
Pls pls pls never let Ziech near a football again…
