Covering: Ownership Takeover Latest, Player Focus: Harvey Vale, Birth Of Sexy Football, Discussing The 4-3-3, Sources On Ben Chilwell's Recovery, And More...
Good Morning!
Today is the day that we are expecting to hear who Raine Group have whittled down the offers to buy Chelsea FC to just a handful of final candidates. It’s also my Birthday! But don’t worry, I’ll be on hand to report anything big that happens for most of the day (We’re going away at the weekend!).
You will probably want to start here to catch up on all the very latest ownership takeover news first.
Whenever something major like this happens at our football club, I like to think back to my early days supporting Chelsea and how different things were. When Glenn Hoddle arrived at Chelsea in the early 90s, it was the start of a new era and the beginning really of the time that led up to Roman Abramovich buying our club. I’ve penned a piece on that time here and my memories of it and how we can compare it to the current situation with a new door being opened.
Another player focus report here now on Harvey Vale, and for me, the new owners must prioritise his new contract and it is up there with importance of their priorities in my opinion.
I was intrigued on Saturday to see how Thomas Tuchel lined up. I’ve always preferred the 4-3-3, but there are certain elements of it you need to perfect to make it work and successful, I’ve had a deep look into that here.
Finally, some news we have been given on Ben Chilwell’s recovery here and spoiler alert, it’s positive!
Early Pod this week for myself and Danny boy as I am not around on Thursday, so we will get that out Wednesday evening I hope.
Peace, Si.
Happy Birthday! Don’t work too hard today.
Happy birthday Si. What great time of year to be born (mines tomorrow) you’ve only got 20 something years to catch me up!! Cheers & c’mon you blues
