Hello people!
Welcome back to Champions League week! Chelsea play Malmo on Wednesday night and preparations are well underway now.
It seems very weird to be speaking about flaws or issues in our play at a point in the season where we are sitting on top of the Premier League.
However, I think most have seen the issues we are facing with our attacking play so far this season, and it is something that cannot be ignored.
I’ve analysed our attacking play here with stats and comparisons, and it really isn’t that pretty.
Thomas Tuchel has even acknowledged our problems in attack and lack of creativity after our very lucky win over Brentford on Saturday. So I’ve gone further into these issues here off the back of his comments, which you can also read in the same article.
Romelu Lukaku is perhaps one of the main players suffering right now with our lack of creativity and attacking bravery, but he is also looking very tired. Some potential early team news and a report on Lukaku here.
If you remember last week I bought you some news on Chelsea’s interest in signing Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus?
Well, the noise on this story is getting louder, and we have a rumour to rate on this subject here.
Finally, the general news sweep covering anything else you may have missed from Monday here, including yet another current Chelsea coach questioning the players mentality. We’ve all heard this before… Sigh.
Have a crackin’ Tuesday folks!
