Covering: UCL Draw shambles and reactions, Two defenders close to signing new deals, Gleison Bremer to Chelsea? Pulisic frustrated? And our general news sweep...
Hey hey!
Well, what a drama that was yesterday with the Champions League Last 16 draw. We all watched at 11am, celebrated missing Bayern Munich and Real Madrid and then drawing 11th placed Ligue 1 side Lille, to then having to do it all again at 2pm only to just get drawn against Lille again!
Wow, good one UEFA. Honestly, what a joke. I’ve penned the full story on that here along with my reactions and some information on Lille.
Next up, we finally have some positive progress on a couple of our defenders who are currently going to be out of contract in the summer here.
Staying on centre backs, Chelsea are currently doing their due diligence on potential defensive targets for the next couple of transfer windows, in case any of the four current centre backs with contracts running out do end up agreeing pre-contracts with new clubs rather than staying at Chelsea.
I have some news on a new target here.
Rumours surrounding Christian Pulisic as well do not seem to be dying down, and of course that is fuelled by the fact he cannot seem to get a call from the start by Thomas Tuchel right now.
It’s clearly going to frustrate you, and there are more transfer rumours to rate on that here.
And finally, to see us all out, take a look through our latest general news sweep article here going over anything else you might have missed from an eventful and dramatic Monday!
Don’t forget we are recording a new Podcast episode today with a current Football scout employed by Chelsea! You cannot miss this one, show will be out at 3pm this Wednesday!
Peace out, Si.
