Covering: More Boehly Summer Plans Revealed, Marcos Alonso Beef, Latest On Tchouameni's Future, Left Hand Side Contingency Plans, Ian Maatsen Has Bundesliga Interest, Plus More..
Morning!
After a mixed bag of collective Chelsea results over the weekend with the Women’s team being crowned English champions, the U23s surviving PL2 relegation, and the Men’s team throwing a 2-0 lead at home to Wolves, we are right here in front of yet another massive fixture on Wednesday. The season run-in is here, and we are far from comfortable for a top four spot now.
There’s a lot going on right now, the best place as always is to begin with the live blog from yesterday here, which for the first time in about three months is not heavily taken over by the ownership takeover stories, because that’s all but done now, thankfully.
Next up, Marcos Alonso strikes again, but this time I’m not talking about a clutch goal, he’s had a fall out with Thomas Tuchel and I’m afraid it’s a case of we’ve been here before with Alonso, and the exit door is looming, I’ll even hold it open for you chap. Read more on that here.
So, that moves on nicely to my next article. IF, and it’s still IF, Tuchel ‘freezes out’ Alonso for the rest of the season and he has played his last ever game for us, who comes in to replace him during an important season run-in? I’ve got that covered here.
Could Ian Maatsen be an option to replace Alonso IF he leaves this summer? Does he have enough about him to become Ben Chilwell’s backup? I’ve got my thoughts on that here as well as some sourced info on interest in him this summer.
Finally, some more sourced info here on the future of Aurelien Tchouameni, and whether that future might involve Chelsea.
Have a good Tuesday folks!
Peace, Si.
Hey Si,
Sorry to be a hassle as this may be a technical issue on my end, but for some reason I can’t click any of the links to the articles other than the live blog. The live blog is also the only link underlined. Again, sorry for the hassle!
