Morning all!
I’m still buzzing and feeding off the Champions League triumph! Stamford Bridge was jumping, Graham Potter was fist pumping, Kai Havertz was ballin’, and Marc Cucurella was fighting the whole of Germany! I’ve missed those games, let’s hope for some more coming very soon this season, starting with Leicester on Saturday!
I’ve got more reactions from the game and some tactical looks at it today.
Let’s start with the setup we used and how it drew the very best out of Kai Havertz. There were many elements that came in to play resulting in seeing the best Kai again, take a look into that here.
We finally saw a very passionate and emotional Graham Potter on Tuesday night, and I feel like he won some fans back. It was great to see, and the players continue to rally around him and back him in public, putting any PR claims to bed in my view. I’ve got a big article on all of that here.
Marc Cucurella had a bit of a renaissance performance on Tuesday, getting the man of the match award. He’s been poor for Chelsea since he arrived, we have to be honest, but there are many reasons to this. Potter taking him out of the firing line was a great move, and is he now doing the same with Mykhailo Mudryk and will that prove to be a wise move as well? Read about that here.
Have your say now in the latest set of poll articles, with a number of the above subjects being addressed. What is your stance on Graham Potter and Chelsea now? Put your answers in here.
Finally, the live blog here from yesterday was a very happy and positive place to be for once, so round up on there with all the latest general Chelsea news, and check out the comments section for a smile!
Our own Frank Leboeuf’s latest column will be out today on the site! I’m sure that will be as lively as ever and not to be missed! Will drop that into your emails as soon as it’s out.
Tonight we have Bobby Vincent, a Chelsea reporter for Football London joining myself and Macca on the Podcast! Excited for that one, will be out around 6pm.
Have a good one!
Peace, Si.
