Good Morning!

I am feeling like I’m on the film Groundhog Day right now, waking up with expectations, going to bed disappointed. Someone needs to let our new owners know that a transfer window DOES close, it’s not permanently open lads… Having said that, at least the UK media have now caught up on the Raheem Sterling news!

Anyways, have a check through yesterday’s live blog here first to catch up on all the latest events and transfer rumours of the last 24 hours.

Yesterday produced a random story from out of nowhere created by the Portuguese press. They claimed Chelsea are about to make an offer to sign Sporting midfielder Matheus Nunes. Agent driven story? More than likely. Rob Pratley has all you need to know on that one here.

Another sourced story from us today, and I’ve been told that Paulo Dybala as a free agent has been discussed by Chelsea. Find out all the details on that and whether Chelsea will make a move for him here.

Let’s push a bit of positivity, as tough as that is right now. But I have been seeing some signs that we are looking to make some smart data-led signings, albeit I may just be entirely clutching at straws due to them just being rumours as of now. However, let’s draw some positivity from this and hope for the best here.

And finally for today, I had a bit of fun and tried the impossible by naming my predicted starting Chelsea Xl to face Club America next weekend in our first pre-season friendly. Chances to impress hopefully, check that out here.
