Covering: Thank You Roman! Looking To The Future, Crossroads For Us, What It Means For Transfers, Max Kilman Scouting, Thomas Tuchel A Chelsea Treasure, 'Self-Sustained' CFC, Plus Luton Review...
Well, well, well…. I need to pause to take a breath BEFORE I even start speaking on this one.
The last couple of days have been an absolute madness, and it is not going to calm down anytime soon. Roman Abramovich confirms that he IS selling Chelsea Football Club, and we are already hearing a vast amount of names, and will hear about more, of potential suitors. The situation is fast-changing and ever developing, sometimes quicker than I can update!
It feels like a massive crossroads for our beloved football club, and changes are coming. Nobody knows whether it will be a good or a bad thing, but one thing for sure is that Chelsea will be just fine in my opinion. If you missed my extensive article on it and the situation from Wednesday morning, you can recap on that here. This is where you can read all my views on it, potential changes, what it might mean for transfers/operations, and what the future may hold now.
It’s a strange old time, and it’s all happened so fast. There will be anxiety, fears, excitement, anger, frustrations, adrenaline pumping through all of us and all sorts of emotions right now, we’ll certainly be going through the motions. So just imagine what Thomas Tuchel and the players must be thinking right now? And they had a game to play last night! You can catch my watch along match review here.
An article here that I wrote BEFORE the news broke that Roman Abramovich has put Chelsea up for sale, but it’s still relevant. That is how we might operate this summer with transfers and an example of what I would do.
Another one here that was penned before the whole debacle, but again, still more than relevant at the moment, and that is on our interest in Wolves centre back, Max Kilman.
One thing that any new owner coming in must do as an absolute must, and that is put and keep Thomas Tuchel at the forefront of any future plans and protect him at ALL costs. A tribute article on TT here.
Finally, I was out for most of the day on Wednesday so no live blog, but I have swept up any other important bits of news from Wednesday, which of course will be very handy to you all right now in the face of a quick changing situation and a crazy amount of rumours dropping, peep that here.
It’s just myself and Dan today recording the Pod, and I might release it straight away tonight due to how fast the situation is changing, I’ll see. But anyhow, I’m very pleased we have no guest this week because we have SO MUCH to discuss and ponder, and we will probably spend the whole episode speaking about Roman Abramovich and Chelsea’s immediate future.
Thanks for stopping by as always!
Peace, Si.
