Morning!
First of all, I just want to let you all know that tomorrow (Friday) there won’t be a newsletter from me. I am at a wedding today so obviously I won’t be able to put any stories out. However, I will make up for that by putting out a newsletter on Saturday instead! So I’ll check back in with you all on Friday, hope that’s all good.
This also means that our Podcast will be out one day later this week on Friday evening. It’s just myself and Dan this week and we will be touching on all the latest stories, especially the Lukaku one!
Let’s get to the news. The best place to head to first today is the live blog from yesterday here, because there was some pretty big bits of news out that you may or may not have missed, and of course, a lot of Lukaku noise as he seems destined to go back to Inter this summer. Also in here are some big stories on Marina Granovskaia potentially leaving the club very soon.
Lukaku could be part of a mass exodus at Stamford Bridge this summer, and the next two articles are related to that.
First of all, it now looks more and more likely that both Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso will leave the club this summer. Find out more on that here, as well as some sourced news on Sergino Dest to Chelsea.
Another player who’s future is unclear is Christian Pulisic, and he’s also put some public words out this week. I’ve got the latest on what’s ahead for him and if it involves Chelsea or not, here.
Staying on the subject of the summer transfer window, I just wanted to put some words of advice out ahead of the carnage that will soon be unfolding during the period that they aptly name ‘silly season’. Just some things I’ve learned over the years explained here.
Finally, I wanted to talk Conor Gallagher here and where he will fit in next season, and why Thomas Tuchel likes him so much.
Right, I’m off to get my wedding best on (well, as smart as it gets for me anyway). I’ll speak to you all tomorrow!
Peace, Si.
