Chelsea Newsletter - Thursday 28th July
Covering: Sourced news on Fofana, Badiashile, Webster, Pavard, Kilman, Ronaldo, Zaha, and more, Broja must start Friday, Plus all the latest transfer stories...
Morning!
I’m currently waking up in a tent in the middle of a field (not whilst I am writing this of course, this is pre-written!). However, as you’ll know, I am at a festival until later on Sunday and I have my awesome crew covering content here right now until then.
The latest Podcast with Ben Jacobs as the guest should be up on the home page right now and should have been emailed out to you all, so go check that if you haven’t already.
Also, Charlie continued the live blog for me yesterday covering all the latest big transfer stories and anything else. There might still be sourced bits in here from myself and Rob Pratley, as I have instructed Charlie to ask us anything needed! Remember also, Charlie will be running a live blog from 9am today, and anything I get on sourced info I will be informing him to add to the blog, or a separate article over the weekend.
Some sourced information on centre backs now, and in here you will find all my latest info on the names mentioned in the title, and where we are at with them. Remember, this was written on Wednesday morning, so there might have been developments since then.
I have a transfer rumour to rate now, and it’s a familiar one that we have seen many times before with Chelsea, and that is our apparent interest in signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace. There are some new links people, and I have addressed those here.
Another attacker who we were strongly linked with at the start of the window was Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Thomas Tuchel said no to pursuing him, but might he change his mind? I’ve got some interesting sourced stuff on that in here that you might want to check out!
Finally, Chelsea have their final pre-season match of the new season on Friday night, facing Udinese in Italy. There is one major thing I want to see from this other than a good performance, and that is solid minutes for Armando Broja, and if possible, a starting place in the team or at least 45 minutes. I’ve got more words on that here.
Right, that’s me for now, enjoy your weekends and I am sure when I check in next we will have even more drama to catch up on!
Peace, Si.
