Chelsea Newsletter: Thursday 23rd March
Covering: Two sourced articles on Mateo Kovacic's future and Mason Mount replacement rumours, the captaincy debate, latest set of polls, and all the latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours!
Morning all!
I might be a bit slow today, but I also have a lot on! We have our Podcast later, and I’m also chatting to the legend Frank Leboeuf for his latest exclusive column for us that I will put out tomorrow morning.
I had a great birthday, and I want to thank every single one of you for taking the time to send birthday wishes, I read them all, whether on Twitter or on here. Appreciate that so much, and as always, really appreciate the community we have all built here.
Let’s get to the news!
A couple of sourced articles to begin proceedings today. One here first on the future of current temp captain Mateo Kovacic, with some more rumours going around this week.
Mason Mount was always touted as a potential long-term future captain at Chelsea, and he might still be. But his future remains fully up in the air, and that has led to replacement talks. I address those rumours here via our sources.
Sticking on the subject of club captains, it’s a debate that has been going on the last couple of weeks with Graham Potter giving the armband to Kovacic and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Eye brows have been raised, and I give my view here.
You guys can give your views on a lot of the above and much more here in the latest set of polls.
Finally, even though it was my birthday yesterday we still got the news out! Charlie was on hand to keep the live blog going, so you can grab all your latest Blues news here.
Delighted to confirm we have a debut Podcast appearance today from popular Chelsea content creator NiiNii who runs Blue Lions TV. Always been a fan of his content, so it’s nice to finally get him on the show with myself and Macca. Show will be out at some point in the evening.
That’s it for this week. I am away this weekend for my birthday - the Wife is taking us somewhere lovely in Devon! We don’t have WiFi though so I won’t be able to check in until Sunday. We do have the Leboeuf column out tomorrow though, and no Chelsea games anyways so I’m not expecting any drama!
Have a good weekend peeps!
Peace, Si.
