Chelsea Newsletter - Thursday 21st July
Covering: Sources on centre backs, Frenkie De Jong to Chelsea? Gilmour, Anjorin, and Vale updates, In-sights into pre-season, Kounde latest, Plus all the latest CFC transfer stories...
Good Morning all!
I see quite a few managed to watch the game! Seeing as I have to be up for work at 7am every morning, there was no way I could watch it. However, I am about to stick it on now and do a full report on it, but judging from some of the reactions I don’t think it’s going to be too positive! After a 1-1 draw, there was the daft idea of penalties in pre-season friendlies, and Chelsea lost on them. More on this later…
Let’s begin with the live blog from yesterday here, as that will always contain the most juiciest of transfer rumours and any little sourced snippets that I have had from the last 24 hours. Remember, we will update this article throughout the day, so always check back in on it!
Sourced story now on centre back targets after Jules Kounde, if we hopefully get that one over the line of course (still confident we will). But a few more names in this one, as well as more words on Levi Colwill being under consideration. Check that here.
Frenkie De Jong to Chelsea is popping back up. I’ve had a few questions on this one, so I’ve done a transfer rumour rated article here to address it all and more.
Whilst the senior team played their second pre-season friendly of the campaign over night, the U23s played their first earlier in the week, and Billy Gilmour, Tino Anjorin, and Harvey Vale were all involved. I’ve got some words and videos on that here, as well as some frustrations as to why the likes of Gilmour is even there.
Finally, my last report of the day consists of some insights into how our pre-season has been going so far, what the mood is like in the camp, and perhaps most importantly, what Todd Boehly’s involvement has been like. Check that here.
Don’t forget, myself and Rob Pratley recorded a transfer Podcast last night with all the latest updates directly from our own sources. You can find that here if you missed it. Macca has been away, but he will be back next week, and he will be joined by a transfer reporter!
Have a good day!
Peace, Si.
After werners comments we have to find someone to leave
Possible he is happy here
BUT
1) performances aren’t impressive and consistent
2) you DO NOT say I can be happy everywhere
Also think that will not happen unless we get rid of Ziyech and Werner tbh. Although we are improving the squad, we definitely need more 🤞🏼
