Good morning all!
It very much feels like the calm before the storm right now with things going a little quieter over the last few days and now starting to heat back up.. My first article of the day explains why the quiet is probably a good thing here.
As always, I highly suggest reading through all of yesterday’s live blog here to catch up on anything that you might have missed, including all the latest transfer rumours and any inside sourced stuff that we have.
Timo Werner has left Chelsea, and to be honest I had a few mixed feelings on this. He will be missed for sure, and I’ve penned my tribute article on him here. Spoiler alert - it’s a bit more positive than my Romelu Lukaku ‘tribute’ was!
Sticking on the subject of our attack, there’s been plenty of debates regarding what the actual issues have been. As always, it is never about just one or two things, there will always be a mixture of things, and if you’re interested, you can find what I think it is here.
Finally, it’s been a summer of change at Chelsea, and we are all learning and adapting to how the new owners are operating and will operate in the future. Petr Cech left, and Thomas Tuchel was left disappointed by this. I’ve got more on this here, which includes some interesting quotes from Tuchel, as well as some sourced news on a new sporting director.
Don’t forget, we have a big transfer news Podcast later where myself, Rob Pratley, AND Macca will be delivering our very latest sourced info on exactly what is going on right now. Recording at 4pm, out around 6pm.
Peace, Si.
