Chelsea Newsletter - Monday 9th May
Covering: Chelsea WSL Champions, Boehly Making Right Moves, Chelsea Target 'A-List' Signings, TT Holds Player Meeting, Koulibaly To Chelsea, Rebuild Or Bust...
Morning!
Chelsea Women’s knew just how to cheer us all up yesterday by winning the league and becoming champions of England! Emma Hayes and the team are just simply unreal and they fully deserve this triumph. Get Hayes a lifetime contract, now!
There was also some more great news after the gloom of Saturday, and that was the U23s surviving PL2 relegation by beating Tottenham. Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr both played in the game, and Thomas Tuchel and Petr Cech were in attendance, as were most of the rest of the first team staff and squad.
Read more about that here and also how Thomas Tuchel called his players in for a meeting on Sunday.
Todd Boehly was at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and he certainly went through all the same emotions as us fans. I was impressed with him this weekend for a number of reasons, all explained here.
I’ve got more of my own reactions from the game on Saturday here, simply titled ‘Rebuild or bust’.
How about some transfer news to round up this Monday newsletter then? First up, a report on how Chelsea will look to sign ‘A-listers’ this summer. What does that mean? Read more here.
Last but not least, some little snippets and sourced news here on Chelsea’s reported interest in signing Kalidou Koulibaly.
Have a great Monday all!
Peace, Si.
