Chelsea Newsletter: Monday 9th Jan
Covering: Man City reflections, Sourced stories on Thuram, Enzo, Lavia, Caicedo, and more, How Chelsea need to approach this rebuild, Plus all the latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours!
Morning!
Hope everyone had a good weekend (away from the shocking football from us). I spent mine in Wye Valley in Wales, and if you haven’t been before, I highly recommend it.
Anyway, to the football now and it was a match day against Manchester City yesterday, yet again. This time in the FA Cup.
It was absolutely bloody tragic from Chelsea once again, and you can get my full reflections and thoughts on the game here.
It is January, so let’s get to the transfer news now. I have two sourced articles today, one continuing on from our exclusive report last week on Chelsea stepping up their interest in Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram. Some little updates in here, as well as where we are at.
The next one is on midfielders. And whilst I don’t think the Enzo pursuit is dead yet, I’ve got some little snippets on that, as well as other names and interesting little developments and noise from sources in here.
Get all the rest of the news, transfer rumours, and quotes from Sunday here in the general roundup. Another sourced snippet on Enzo in here as well!
And finally, a big opinion piece here on how Chelsea need to be approaching this rebuild in general, and some mistakes I can see creeping in that I hope we can avoid.
Live blog will be up and running today as always, so do join me over there on the homepage shortly after 8am. Ben Jacobs will hopefully have his latest column out later today, and he will be speaking on some of your questions from last week. If you have anything new or pressing you’d like Ben to speak on, drop them in comments and we’ll see what we can do.
Thanks for stopping by, have a good day!
Peace, Si.
Buckle in until after the international break Chelsea fam. We will hopefully have some of our key players back & make a couple of useful additions by then.
